Beaches - there are many sandy beaches nearby with safe swimming. Alternatively there are beautiful cliff walks along the spectacular coastline; The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path begins at nearby St Dogmaels. You can even watch the dolphins from the clifftops, swimming in Cardigan Bay.

Walking - an abundance of local footpaths, the Preselis Mountains are a short drive away and the Cambrian Mountains of mid-Wales are only an hour’s drive away.

Birdwatching - the local countryside offers ideal habitat for birds large and small,including the rare red kite.

Galleries - There are numerous small artists and artisans in the area producing a wide variety of arts and crafts, from paintings through to sculptures, wood turning and jewellery. Many can be visited in their own galleries.

Gardens - visit the new National Botanical Garden of Wales and Aberglasney near Carmarthen, the National Trust garden at Llanerchaeran and the private walled garden at Pigeonsford, near Llangrannog.

Gastronomic Delights - home-produced cheeses, Victorian-style chocolates and naturally-reared meats or visit some of the numerous pubs and small restaurants in the area.
